Night Shows

Our night shows are famous for entertaining sold-out crowds, with equestrian performances from numerous disciplines.

 

Night show tickets must be purchased separately to day tickets with the exception of the all-inclusive Grand Prix pass.

SATURDAY NIGHT SHOW

 

Our Saturday Night Show is sure to thrill with an exciting show jumping competition accompanied by a branch of Equidays Top Talent.

 

The talent show will be hosted by the Wilson Sisters in conjunction with Isuzu D-Max, and gives talented horse trainers and people the chance to show their stuff. 

 

With a 1.20m speed jumping event for the horses and a 1.05m speed jumping event for the ponies, there are sure to be plenty of thrills as these combinations battle it out for top honours in their respective classes! There won't be any room for mistakes in the tight indoor arena so these riders will have their game faces on.

SUNDAY NIGHT SHOW

 

A taste of the exciting entertainment night show that sells out year after year at Equidays, the Sunday Night Show at Equidays South Island Edition will not disappoint.

 

Starring Dan Steers and his horse Double Image in an exciting display of liberty work, fire and pyrotechnics, the Equitainment Extravaganza will be an unmissable show of horsemanship. Dan's wife Pia will also feature, performing for the first time in New Zealand!

 

Kapiti Vaulting will bring the internationally acclaimed musical Phantom of the Opera to life in an incredible display of gymnastics on horseback. These athletes will be aiming to represent New Zealand at the World Equestrian Games in North Carolina in 2018.

 

Performing alongside the vaulting team will be adagio dancing duo Silhouette. This husband and wife team were runners up in New Zealand's Got Talent and now run a dance school as well as perform nationally. A perfect combination of strength and grace, their routines involve towering lifts, fast spins and artistic choreography set to inspiring music pieces. 

 

The night will also feature a challenge between scurry ponies and quad bikes - who will come out victorious in this fast and furious showdown? Ponies big and small will battle it out to prove their mettle against some speedy competition in a real horse versus machine test!

 

Displays from other acts will support the night, with an appearance from Equidays ambassadors the Wilson Sisters sure to be a highlight. You won't want to miss this particular Extravaganza, so get in quick before tickets sell out!
